White painted brick home with arched front porch, painted by MK Construct Pro

A good paint job disappears. The color reads as it should in daylight, the edges are sharp where surfaces meet, and nothing about the finish asks for a second look. That takes preparation most people never see: surfaces cleaned, sanded and primed, doors sprayed off their hinges, rooms protected and left clean at the end of every day.

Cabinetry, sprayed to a factory finish

Doors and drawer fronts are removed, degreased, sanded and sprayed in a controlled setting, then rehung and aligned. Satin or semi-gloss, in any color.

Color with intent

Deep accent walls against quiet neutrals. We help you choose and sample before anything goes on the wall, so the finished room looks like the one you pictured.

Trim, doors and the places people touch

Casings, baseboards, closet doors and built-ins get the same care as the walls, with a harder-wearing enamel that stays smooth.

Painting services across the Carolinas

Our specialty

Home repainting, with moving and storage included

Moving boxes loaded in a company van outside a home

Repainting a home people already live in is what we do best. Instead of working around your furniture, we take it out of the way. Our crew packs and loads your furniture onto our own trucks, keeps it safe at our storage locations while we paint, then brings everything back and puts it where it belongs.

  • Furniture moved out by our own crew and trucks
  • Secure storage for the length of the project
  • Empty rooms for cleaner, faster, more even painting
  • Everything returned and placed when the paint is done

Recent residential project

Arched openings, framed, drywalled and painted

The homeowners wanted the square openings between rooms turned into arches. Our crew handled it start to finish: we framed the new arches, hung and finished the drywall, then painted them along with the walls, tray ceiling, crown and wainscoting, so the curves look like they were always part of the house.

Recent exterior project

Painted brick exterior, priming stage

The step most people never see. Before any finish color goes on, the whole brick exterior is primed: the main house, chimney and garage, with windows, doors and the front steps masked off. Priming seals the brick so the finish coats go on evenly and hold up to sun, heat and humidity.

  4. Final look

We walk the work with you in daylight and touch up anything you notice. Then your furniture comes back and goes where it belongs.

Painting contractor in Concord, NC, serving all of North and South Carolina

MK Construction LLC is based in Concord, NC 28027 and works across North Carolina and South Carolina, with deep roots in Cabarrus and Mecklenburg counties. Homeowners call us for kitchen cabinet painting, full interior repaints, exterior house painting, and accent walls that change how a room feels, and builders bring us in to finish new construction inside and out.

In Charlotte, much of our work is cabinet refinishing and interior painting for homes being updated or prepared for sale. Painting existing kitchen cabinets costs far less than replacing them, and a sprayed finish holds up to daily use. We also repaint living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, ceilings, trim and doors throughout the city, from older neighborhoods to newer builds.

Closer to home in Concord, Kannapolis and Harrisburg, we handle exterior house painting as well as interiors. North Carolina humidity and summer heat are hard on siding and trim, so every exterior job starts with pressure washing, scraping, priming and caulking before two coats of premium exterior paint go on.

Beyond homes, we take on commercial painting for offices, retail spaces and multi-unit buildings in Charlotte and Concord, and we partner with builders and general contractors as a painting vendor on new construction, bringing dependable crews and a consistent finish from the first home to the last.

Our crews travel throughout the Carolinas. In North Carolina we work from Charlotte, Huntersville, Mooresville, Matthews and Waxhaw out to Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Wilmington and Asheville. In South Carolina we serve Rock Hill, Fort Mill and Lancaster just over the line, along with Columbia, Greenville, Spartanburg, Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Builders with projects in multiple markets can count on one painting partner across both states.

Common questions

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Concord, NC 28027 and serve homeowners, businesses and builders across all of North Carolina and South Carolina, from Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro to Rock Hill, Columbia, Greenville and Charleston.

Is it better to paint kitchen cabinets or replace them?

If the cabinet boxes are solid, professional cabinet painting gives you a new kitchen look for a fraction of the cost of replacement. We remove the doors, degrease, sand, prime and spray them for a smooth, durable finish.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We visit the home, walk through the project with you, and send a written proposal within two days.

How long does an interior paint job take?

Most single rooms take a day or two. A full interior or a kitchen of cabinets usually takes about a week, depending on size and prep. We'll give you a schedule with your proposal.

Do you do commercial painting and work with builders?

Yes. We paint offices, retail spaces and multi-unit buildings, and we work with builders and general contractors as a trade partner and painting vendor on new construction.

Do I have to move my furniture before you paint?

No. Repainting lived-in homes is our specialty, so we handle it. Our crew moves your furniture out on our own trucks, keeps it at our storage locations during the project, and brings it back and places it when the painting is finished.

What paint do you use?

We use Sherwin-Williams paint on every job, from entry-level finishes up to their highest-end premium lines. We'll recommend the right grade for each surface and your budget.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. MK Construction LLC is a licensed and insured painting contractor.
